Different Airsoft Rifle Models

by Justin Kander

All airsoft rifles function nearly identically, but what they are modeled after is as important. Airsoft rifles come in all different shapes and sizes, and many are replicas of real world guns.

A globally recognized type of gun is the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It is famed for using only a few moving parts and being heavily resistant to wear and tear. More importantly in this context, it makes for a great replica!

A less known but still popular rifle is the Steyr AUG. It is of Austrian design and has been in production since the 1970s. Its defining features are the unique mold and quick firing speed.

The airsoft manufacturer Classic Army is a producer of the highest quality G36 assault rifles. The G36 is an H&K product that has recently been adapted in to an airsoft rifle. Airsoft replicas of the G36 have exceptional firing power and endurance.

The M14 is a predecessor to the M16 and is not widespread anymore, but as a replica it still has value. The company that produces the multitude of current airsoft M14s is Echo1.

The M14 was replaced in the military by the more versatile M16. This rifle is very well known and is used extensively in armies across the world. Classic Army produces many M16 variants that are quite powerful.

The MP5 submachine gun is known for its small size and quick speed. It is produced by Heckler & Koch, and within airsoft, is made by a number of different manufacturers.

As you can see, there are many variants of airsoft rifles available, and this is not even the complete list. With all this selection, it is remarkably easy to find the perfect product.
